Plot:
In the 1950s, Minjiang, Fujian Province. Li Yinhua (played by Li Lingjun), the mutual aid team leader of Baihua Island, and Yang Xiaolong (played by Shi Jiufeng), a member of the Communist Youth League, have been childhood sweethearts and share the same aspirations. Xiaolong's father, Yang Caifa (played by Zhang Fa), is a self-employed individual. There are differences between the father and son on the path of mutual assistance and cooperation.
