Chinese-american young woman Si Wei (played by Tang Jiasi) returns to her hometown of Fuzhou from the United States, carrying her grandmother's belongings - a lacquerware dressing box - in her backpack. After a car accident, Si Wei and the delivery man Lin Rongsheng (played by Huang Yuan) were drawn into a casino bombing case.
