The Price of Sin tells the story of a priest named Nicholas in medieval England who fell in love with a female believer and violated the religious rules. To escape the punishment of the church, he was forced to hide in a wandering troupe. Not long after, the troupe arrived at a small town where a woman was charged with murder for practicing witchcraft

On the French battlefield of World War I, an 18-year-old new recruit lieutenant (played by Asa Butterfield) came to the front line through the connection of his childhood friend and now heroic commander, Stanhope (played by Sam). But Stanhope had been changed beyond words by the war. He developed claustrophobia and became irritable and short-tempered.

In 1805, Napoleon roamed the European continent, and in naval battles, only the British fleet could rival him. Captain Jack (played by Russell Crowe) of the British army and his warship HMS Wonder were ordered to intercept the French warship HMS Hell and enter the South Pacific.
