Plot:
About three hundred years ago, in the 15th year of the Genroku era (1702), the fifth general, Netsuji, implemented a policy of pacifying the people, and the lives of the common folk were stable. The young samurai, Aoki Sozaburo (played by Junichi Okada), left his hometown from Shinshu to Edo in search of his father's murderer, Kanazawa Jubei (played by Tadanobu Asano). But his swordsmanship is poor.
