At the end of World War II, in a secluded village in the northern Alps of Italy, the war did not actually reach, but adult men could not escape the fate of going to the battlefield. Despite the shortage of supplies, veteran teachers still held classes and taught students of all ages. There are ten people in their family. Every day, they work, pray, listen to classical music and lead a quiet and repetitive life.
