On the eve of the July 7th Incident, a young Chinese-American named Hendrler (played by Peng Yuyan) traveled across the ocean from the United States to Beijing, where he had been away for over a decade, to practice medicine. The drama tells the story of the female lead, Ke Ying (played by CAI Wenjing), who, in order to protect herself and her family, engages in a battle of wits with illegal forces.
