Plot:
The film is adapted from a Broadway musical in 1957. It tells the story of the struggle between the "Jet" and "Sharks" gangs on the streets of New York in the 1950s, as well as the "ill-fated couple" Tony (played by Ansel Elgert) and Maria, who belong to different gangs.
