In 1909, a German explorer fell ill with a strange disease in the Amazon jungle. He turned to a witch doctor whose people had almost been wiped out. They wound their way up the river, trying to find their lost people and the mysterious plant that could cure diseases. In 1941, an American explorer also set foot on the rainforest land, walking back with a local elderly man
