Florence Foster Jenkins, an American soprano singer in the early 20th century, gained popularity among audiences with her poor singing skills but excellent entertainment talent. Jenkins was very confident, comparing herself to the famous sopranos of the time, Frieda Hempel and Luisa Tetrazzini, and didn't mind the bursts of ridicule from the audience during the performance at all. She has strict choices for her performance venues, usually at the Ritz-Carlton in New York City. The audience for the concert is also limited to its loyal members, some invited guests, and even those who decide on the tickets themselves. At the age of 76, Jenkins requested a public performance at Carnegie Hall. People were very much looking forward to this performance, so the tickets sold out early. However, Florence Foster Jenkins passed away a month later.[Collapse]
