Richie (played by Julian Dennison) is a very bad-tempered little boy. No one is willing to play with him, and all he brings to others is endless trouble. Finally, Rich was sent to a small village surrounded by mountains because of his numerous misdeeds. There lived her tough aunt Paula (played by Rachel House) and her scar-faced uncle Haick (played by Sam Neill), who looked not to be trivied with. Although Richie showed great aversion to life here and kept wanting to run away, Paula's care and love for him gradually melted the ice in his heart. For the first time, Richie felt that being loved was such a warm thing, as warm as the hot water bag his aunt prepared for him every day. However, the good times didn't last long.
