Since his wife (played by Maki Sakai) died in a hit-and-run traffic accident five years ago, Kenichi Nakamura (played by Masaharu Sakai), the director of a small iron factory, has been deeply saddened by the loss of his wife and unable to extricate himself. In the past years, his wife's last phone message and her belongings before her death aroused his endless remembrance and also blocked this dispirited and sorrowful man from moving towards a new life.
