This is a story that happens every day. A Mexican farmer secretly crossed the border to California, worked hard and saved money in order to send his family back home. This perhaps ordinary story becomes particularly tough and realistic in the hands of American independent filmmaker Robert M. Young. Unlike other films of the same genre, "Illegal Immigrant" does not tend to be sentimental. Instead, it delicately and vividly investigates their living conditions, completing a thrilling road journey. Although it is not lacking in political attributes, it does not lose the display of the complexity of the main characters.
