In the 1950s, a certain city had eee. Afu (played by Li Shoucheng) 's father, Zhang Qixin (played by Qi Heng), is the supply section chief of a certain factory. One day, he brought home a sample of oil steel drill produced in the Soviet Union. Unexpectedly, Afu sold it to an old scrap man (played by Li Baolu), and used the money from the sale to buy a parachute for his classmate Yongxiang (played by Tian Feng). Zhang Qixin, having lost the sample of the steel drill, asked his son about it because the factory was in urgent need of it.
