The two raised their two children, Brandon (played by Stuart Lafferty) and Lucas (played by Jordan Garrett), together. The life of the family of four can be described as happy and fulfilling. One day, John was driving Brandon home when they temporarily parked their car at a gas station. Little did they know that this action would completely change their destinies. At the gas station, Brandon met Joe (played by Matt O'Leary), the younger brother of the gang leader Billy (played by Garrett Hedlund), who had the same cruel and cold personality as his elder brother.
