In the 1970s, an Iranian girl named Hera was studying at a university in Romania. She met a classmate named Maria. After the revolution against the monarchy broke out in 1979, Hera returned home with the hope of political change and never left again. Over the following decades, Hera and Maria exchanged their views on politics, society and life through letters, until Romania also witnessed the great changes in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. Between the two revolutions, there was a spiritual love between two women that transcended time and space.
