The Peking Opera film "Han Yuniang" was jointly directed by the renowned directors Li Qiankuan and his wife Xiao Guiyun. The Peking Opera "Han Yuniang" was adapted by Comrade Li Ruihuan, a former member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee and the former chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, from the Mei School Peking Opera "The Regret of Life and Death". It tells a folk story from the Song Dynasty, expressing both women's loyalty to love and their patriotic feelings. This time, incorporating Peking Opera art into a film is also a new breakthrough. Han Yuniang is jointly produced by Tianjin Pingju Bai School Troupe, Northern Film Group and Tianjin Binhai International Film and Television Co., LTD. The film tells the story of Han Yuniang and Cheng Pengju, two commoners in the late Northern Song Dynasty, who were captured and enslaved by the Jin State during the war. They unexpectedly got together in the midst of hardship. After their marriage, the woman strongly urged her husband to return to his homeland to resist the enemy. However, Cheng Pengju was worried that Han Yuniang was a spy sent by the Jin State and deliberately exposed her, which led to her being sold to someone else as a concubine and suffering all kinds of torture and hardships. Later, Cheng Pengju learned the truth that Yu Niang advised him to return to the country out of patriotic righteousness. He sent people many times to search and finally found Han Yu Niang.
