The gangster killer "Ghost Dog" (Forest Whitaker, Forrester?) living in New Jersey Whitaker, who is of African descent, is immersed in the spiritual world of Japanese Bushido, with "loyalty and righteousness" as his highest creed throughout his life. He lived a secluded life and seldom smiled. On a daily basis, he kept in touch with his boss by delivering messages through carrier pigeons. The ghost Dog regards its boss, Louis (played by John Tormey), as his own father. Once he receives an order, he shows no mercy, wielding a knife and sending blood sashes everywhere. Even though he was lonely, he still had friends to confide in. In his spare time, he would chat with African Americans who were buying ice cream in the park and speaking French. They each talked their own way, but it was also interesting. Or exchange experiences of reading "Rashomon" with a little girl who loves reading. The ghost dog lives in its own world, but great changes have taken place around it. Finally, one day, he was abandoned by Louis and became a victim of gang intrigue...[Collapse]
