Andy (played by Marios Ioannou), a Cypriot immigrant with a London accent, has been working hard in a French fries shop in London for most of his life. To fulfill his mother's dream of returning to her roots, Andy decided to go back to his hometown of Cyprus. In his hometown, Andy opened a French fries shop. However, after his daughter got involved in a bad gang, his dream turned into a nightmare. Fish and Chips has won numerous awards, including the "Best Directorial Debut" and "Best Greek Film" nominated awards from the Greek Film Academy, the "Universal Image", "Best Actor" and "Most Popular Film" awards at the Cyprus Film Festival, as well as the "Best Screenplay" award from Corinthians.[Collapse]
