In the later stage of World War II, Allied pilot Paul Kersey was forced to land at the foot of the Great Wall after his plane was hit by a Japanese warship. At the critical moment of his life, he was rescued by the Eighth Route Army and local people. Soon after, soldier Heizi (Wang Xinjun) and female military doctor Anjie (Ning Jing), who knew English, were ordered to escort him to the base area.
