The story takes place in the early 1990s. The once glorious Zhongyuan Aircraft Factory was showing signs of being cumbersome and exhausted. Qu Jing (played by Su Xiaotong), a junior high school student living in the family compound, has a father, Qu Zhicheng (played by Guo Xiao), who is a somewhat pedantic and stubborn forensic doctor.
