In an accident, Prince Ainon (played by David Thewlis) suffered a fatal injury to his heart. To save the prince's life, a dragon sacrificed half of his heart. After being brought back to life, Ainon's personality changed dramatically. She became fierce and cruel. As the prince's swordsmanship teacher, Bowin (played by Dennis Quaid) believed that the culprit behind this change was the prince's half of the dragon heart. To help the prince regain his true nature, Ainon decided to do whatever it took to find the dragon with the other half of the heart. Ten years passed in the blink of an eye. Countless dragons died at the hands of Bo Wen. Eventually, he met his long-sought archenemy, and a deep friendship developed between the man and the dragon.
