The filming location of "Ximao Family House Farm Jia Shen Yin Yang Jie" is Songyuanchong, Yueyang County, Hunan Province. The production sponsor is Zhenlong Documentary Film Studio. The producer is Zhang Qinjian. The Ximao Family House Farm where this film was shot is my own hometown. The villagers photographed are my parents. The film is divided into three aspects: the story of the Yin world of the Ximao family's house, the story of the Yang World, and the Yin-Yang World, which serves as a medium for communication between the Yang world of the villagers and the Yin world of the demons and monsters (with the medium being a disguise). The film attempts to analyze the inner definition of the villagers' "the root of people's livelihood and the source of weeds". As a rice-growing area, the vision of rice as the consciousness vision of the villagers seems to have established a clear pattern over thousands of years. The villagers, our "small farmers", are always confined to self-sufficiency, subsistence, seeking vested interests and taking shortcuts outside the "front" of a nation's pillars. In the Yang Realm, the villagers are obsessed with the disguised gambling methods of the Hong Kong Six Lottery and have fallen into the trap of their own consciousness. Many villagers bet all their possessions on the lottery. If they succeed, they will become rich and powerful; if they fail, they will either leave their hometowns or commit suicide by hanging from a beam. It is not uncommon for families to be ruined and people to be destroyed. The speculative behavior of the villagers purely expresses their fundamental consciousness as weeds rather than ranunculus.
