The film inherits the theme of fatherly love in Zhu Ziqing's eponymous essay, taking fatherly love as the main thread and telling a vivid story of family affection in the form of a movie. A poor small mountain village in the 1990s. Chun-soo, a twelve-year-old girl, lost her mother at an early age and has been living with her father and bedridden grandmother. His father was diagnosed with lung cancer and had only a short life left, so he married GUI LAN, hoping to entrust Chunxiu to her after his death. But unexpectedly, GUI LAN had already been diagnosed with uterine cancer before she married and passed away. Moreover, she had the same purpose as GUI LAN's father.
