The Chunye family lives in a peaceful and harmonious small mountain village. Their life is simple and happy, but each family member has their own troubles. Grandfather (played by Tatsuya Shu-in) has a strange personality and behaves strangely, and is obsessed with making private animations. The father (played by Tomokazu Miura) is a resident hypnotherapist. He is so absorbed in his work that he has no time for anything else. Miko (played by Rimi Tezuka), the wife, finally managed to take a break from the busy life of raising her child for a while, and thus decided to resume her work of drawing table cards. The couple seldom communicate, and a rift has been growing between them. The eldest son, Aichi (played by Takahiro Sato), who is in middle school, falls in love with a new transfer student.
