Su Niannian (played by Xing Fei) is an outstanding student girl with a high IQ and lofty ideals. She is determined to be admitted to Tsinghua University to fulfill her dream of taking the college entrance examination. Little did she know that an unexpected traffic accident would cause Su Niannian to perform poorly in the exam. Eventually, she missed out on Tsinghua University and was replaced by Qunying University of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, which she had completely looked down upon. After much persuasion from her family, Su Niannian finally agreed to "lower her status" and was admitted to this university.
