The story continues from "Detective C". Atan's (played by Aaron Kwok) ability to solve cases has been fully proven, and his good friend Feng Ze (played by Eric Tsang) also feels very proud. However, Feng Ze still fails to achieve success in the police station and is transferred to the subordinate of Officer Lo (played by Patrick Tam), who is known for his meritorious service. Shortly after Fengze was transferred, a series of murders occurred in his jurisdiction. The four victims in succession had no connection with each other, and the murderer also left rather deliberate clues at the scene.
