Six thousand years ago, the Demon God Emperor Fengxiu and seventy-two Demon God Pillars descended from the sky. Any living creature that came into contact with the aura emitted by the Demon God Pillars would immediately mutate into a demonic creature, and humanity thus entered a dark age. Subsequently, the human powerhouses organized the six Great sanctuaries on their own to halt the advance of the demons, gradually forming a situation where humans and demons coexisted.
